On the occasion of the international presentation of the New Köchel Catalogue, which took place in Salzburg in September 2024, Mozarteum Hellas presented the Greek premiere and official presentation of the New Köchel Catalogue at the Academy of Athens on Friday, 16 May.
The event also featured performances of Mozart’s works KV 648, KV 636, and KV 630 and was co-organised by the International Mozarteum Foundation and Mozarteum Hellas, under the auspices of the Austrian Embassy in Greece, with the support of the Mousikoi Orizontes Conservatory.
The evening was honoured by the presence of H.E. the Ambassador of Austria to Greece, Ms. Gerda Vogl, who delivered the welcome address.
The Academy of Athens hosted the event, contributing decisively to the realization of this unique cultural occasion, which welcomed a distinguished audience of 200 guests, including members of the diplomatic corps.
This event further strengthened the longstanding collaboration between Mozarteum Hellas and the International Mozarteum Foundation, continuing a series of important Greek premieres presented in recent years, including Mozart’s Costa Violin (2019), Mozart’s Autograph K. 590b (2023), and the Grassi and Posch Medallions (2022).
