An exciting musical start was given with the Mozarteum Hellas Masterclasses

An exciting musical start was given with the Masterclasses that took place over four days in two different venues of the Philippos Nakas Conservatory:

  • Violin Masterclass with Annelie Gahl, Professor, Mozarteum University
  • Piano and Chamber music Masterclass with Florian Podgoreanu – Senior Lecturer, Mozarteum University)

One of the roles of Mozarteum Hellas is to create important musical events in order to help the young talented musicians of Greece to develop their careers. For this reason, Mozarteum Hellas collaborated with the Mozarteum University and the Philippos Nakas Conservatory, for the organization of the two important Masterclasses under the auspices of the Austrian Embassy in Athens.

The grand finale for the violin-piano-chamber music Masterclasses took place on 09/11/2023 with the awarding of participation diplomas, as well as with the Closing Concert with selected works performed by the students of the seminars.

The welcome was given by: Dionyssis Mallouhos – Artistic Director of Philippos Nakas Conservatory, Dr. Kostas Iatrou – Secretary General, Mozarteum Hellas, Philipp Wassermann – Chargé d’Affaires of the Austrian Embassy. The awarding of certificates was carried out by Eugenia Votanopoulou – President of Mozarteum Hellas.

All 24 students were more than happy to meet and be taught by such gifted teachers. Professors Annelie Gahl and Florian Podgoreanu / Mozarteum University of Salzburg had good student material and worked with the students intensively to present the awarding result that reached our ears during the final concert.
