Mozarteum Hellas participates at the 2023 Austrian-Greek Music Summer

For the third time Mozarteum Hellas participated at the 2023 Austrian-Greek Music Summer organised by the Austrian Embassy in Athens. 

Marathon Municipality (13 July) and Kifissia Municipality (18 July) welcomed the distinguished pianist Evgenia Votanopoulou, President Mozarteum Hellas and violinist Dr Anja Morgenstern, Mozart Foundation Salzburg, in evenings of chamber music inspired by the works of W. A. Mozart and other classical masters.

In the Ancient Theater of Lindos, Rhodes – Agios Stefanos Square (28 August), Evgenia Votanopoulou, President Mozarteum Hellas and violinist Nina Patrikidou, Vice-President Mozarteum Hellas performed an array of classical pieces by W.A. Mozart, M. Kalomiris, B. Bartok, S. Rachmaninov and F. Kreisler. Organizers of the concert were South Aegean Region / Municipality of Rhodes / ΔΟΠΑΡ / Mozarteum Hellas and it was under the auspices of the Austrian Embassy in Greece & Austrian Honorary Consulate of Dodecanese

Finally, On Tuesday, August 29, 2023, one of the most impressive classical music concerts was given at the Museum of Modern Greek Art of Rhodes in the New Wing of Nestorideio Melathron. The enchanting musical evening was opened by the President of the Museum of Modern Greek Art of Rhodes, Mr. Sergios Aivazis, welcoming and guiding the distinguished guests. Then the exceptional artists Mrs Evgenia Votanopoulou, piano, President of Mozarteum Hellas Mrs. Nina Patrikidou, violin, Vice President Mozarteum Hellas, and Dr. Wolfgang Gerold, tenor, President Mozartgemeinde Wien offered us an unforgettable Viennese musical journey with the works of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, Fritz Kreisler, Gustav Pick, Roman Domanig-Roll, Hans Gerold, Carl Milloecker, Robert Stolz, Emmerich Kalman, Herman Leopoldi, Franz Lehar and Richard Strauss. The event was under the auspices of the South Aegean Region, the Municipality of Rhodes and of the Honorary Consulate of Austria in Rhodes. The event was organized by Mozarteum Hellas in collaboration with the Museum of Modern Greek Art, DOPAR, the Municipality of Rhodes and the Dodecanese Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
The fundamental idea of the the Austrian-Greek Music Summer is the dialogue between Austrian and Greek artists. Musicians from both countries perform together in different locations around Greece.
